Progress to date

So far we've had two steering group meetings in November 2018 and March 2019. From these steering group meetings we have formed a working group who met for the first time on the 14th March 2019 to discuss the following key issues:

1. Scope of project - exploring paediatric escalation process and charts
2. Existing charts - reviewed 17 charts
3. Ages ranges - majority of systems use five charts with five age ranges
4. Parameters - Variation found in existing systems
5. Weighting variables - Variation between which vital signs and other variables are weighted
6. Binary/simple or multiple composite scoring - trigger and scoring systems both in use, scoring systems have been demonstrated to outperform trigger systems

The working group will next meet on the 29th March.
