Project Consultation Map
Picture
So far we have consulted about the project with over 200 staff and consumers across WA. As well as this broad consultation the project is also guided by a number of groups including:
-ESCALATION steering group
-ESCALATION chart development working party
-ESCALATION managers pilot group
-ESCALATION educators pilot group
-PCH consultation group
What does the literature show?
  • Scoring systems outperform trigger systems
  • Not all variables recorded on an observation chart need to be weighted
  • Human factors design is needed to make user friendly charts
  • Family escalation is valuable and widely available
  • Effective communication is vital to timely escalation
